Rottweilers originate from Germany. They are a large, powerful dog. Rottweilers are black with clearly defined tan markings on the cheeks, muzzle, chest, legs, and eyebrows. Rottweilers naturally do have tails but they are commonly docked off when puppies.
A poorly trained Rottweiler can be very destructive and dangerous which is why I recommend Sit Stay Fetch to properly train your Rottweiler dog.
Conversely a well trained rottweiler can be a very well behaved dog. A loving trustworthy companion.
The following tips should be followed to be sure that your Rottweiler becomes a well adjusted animal who is not dangerous.
1. Your Rottweiler should be properly trained and controlled at all times.
2. You should not own a a Rottweiler unless you are sure you can control it and are willing to spend the time and energy it takes to teach your Rottweiler how to behave properly.
3. Rottweilers have natural guarding instincts. Doing anything that enhances this natural instinct (such as rough play) is extremely foolish.
4. You should never leave a Rottweiler by itself with someone (such as a child) who is unable to control it.
5. A Rottweiler will be very protective of your home and what happens in your home. This needs to be considered when children are playing or people are arguing.
6. You should take out insurance on any Rottweiler that you own.
